My Heart My Enemy My Monument

In 1992 the first part of the trilogy has been shown for the first time. MY ENEMY launched fierce discussions among visitors and media and was prohibited. Now, for the first time, the complete trilogy is shown. Galerie Holtmann and FrauenMediaTurm are presenting the exhibition during the festival "Rheinlesen" in Rheinauhafen Köln between 9th and 11th of september 2011.

The "Boatpeople" Book is out

A boat from Burma on the Rhine. The photographer Bettina Flitner bought the wooden fishing vessel on Lake Inle, situated on a high plateau in the Shan Mountains near to the Chinese border, and transported it back from Myanmar to Germany. Here on the banks of the Rhine, Flitner photographed a diverse collection of individuals and groups of people. Casting managers and drag queens, nuns and the homeless into a mise-en-scène, she orchestrated a lyrical, poetic procession of people on their travels: nomadic globetrotters, journeying upstream and downstream along the river of life.
